Meet Ellen B,
NYC Makeup Artist and Local 798 member Ellen B. believes in a humble yet artistic approach to beauty. Whether she doing makeup on a movie set, for a photo shoot or for an event her saying is "I love art and creating, each opportunity to do this is a gift. " The face, her art and the simple pleasantries of creating joy in beauty are her main inspirations .
Graduating from Tuskegee University as a Marketing major, Ellen never thought that her travels would lead her into a career in the arts. However, hard work and a keen eye for detail led her to a diverse career that has allowed her work on countless sets and also be a sought after artist for events. She has worked with celebrities including Joel and Victoria Osteen, Lala Anthony, Taraji P. Henson, Gladys Knight, Method Man, Rosanna Scotto, T.I., Meagan Good, John Legend, Wendy Williams, Swizz Beats, Kelsey Grammer and Lalah Hathaway and many more notable personalities. In addition to this she was the Senior Makeup Artist for Good Day NY for seven years and continues to work with several television and production companies including Starz, CBS, Fox 5, MTV, Nickelodeon, BET, Telemundo and CNN to name a few.
Ellen is sought after for her calm nature, signature perfectly blended makeup applications and experience on and off set. "The gift is of being able to see the joyous expression on each client’s face at the end of a session; that's where my success lies".
